Richmond falls along the swale, stunning, to see any time of the year, and a little further down river Easby Abbey, no need to drive leave the hotel and they are on the doorstep.

Richmond castle, Green Howards museum, Richmond museum, all within the town and a short walk from the hotel.

Forbidden Corner at Leyburn, a mysterious adventure, and another favourite, spending theday by the river climbing on the rocks, paddling, and a game of football.
