Restaurant
The newly refurbished Kings restaurant with its contemporary feel and modern British menu including some unexpected surprises, is a genuine edition to North Yorkshires fine dining scene.
With its Georgian exterior the restaurant radiates a very genuine warmth, both welcoming and putting diners at ease, with every table boasting a view overlooking the largest and, arguably, most beautiful cobbled market square in Europe.
Discreetly linked to this impressive space The Panelled Room is perfect for those requiring more privacy whilst dining, complete with its own distinctive fire place, opulent lighting and classic ghost chairs.
Dinner is served every evening from 7pm- 9pm
For Sunday lunch there’s a choice of roasts including, of course, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, from 12pm-2pm.
The highly commended wine list displays carefully selected wines from most wine producing countries as well as champagne, pudding wines and liqueurs.
Service is efficient but informal making dinner at the Kings head an enjoyable and relaxing experience.
